Playtech Announce New BetTracker App

A new app could make sports betting on mobile devices that much easier. Betting on sports is extremely popular in Canada and there are a number of great sports books offering mobile betting. Placing bets using a tablet or smartphone can be great and the live betting options offered by leading sportsbooks add even more excitement to the experience, especially since they allow Canadians to place bets on local and international events. The apps currently on the market have made mobile betting simple and quick, but there’s definitely room for improvement. Playtech, a leader in online betting platforms, has announced a new product developed in collaboration with one the company’s recent acquisitions – BGT. The new BetTracker app is available for both Apple and Android devices, and you can expect to see more and more sportsbooks adopting the product in the coming months.

The world of online sports betting has come a long way both regarding the sports covered and the technology offered to bettors. Although digital sports books are already quite developed, offering a rich set of features for bettors, one of the main areas that we’d like to see improved is fund management. Deposits and withdrawals have become very easy with the leading sportsbook brands, but other transaction types, and the integration between digitally-placed bets and those placed at physical betting facilities, can still be cumbersome. The BetTracker will tackle this issue letting you monitor your funds across different betting platforms with ease.

Playtech BGT's New BetTracker App

BGT are leaders in cross-platform integration for betting applications.

BGT was founded in 2005 and quickly became a forerunner in retail-based sports betting, creating betting terminals serving customers across the globe. These self-service betting terminals offer a high level of connectivity that allows operators to broadcast a wider scope of bets and more dynamic pricing control. The company’s success caught the eye of Playtech which acquired BGT in 2016, integrating the company into its own operations.

Dr. Armin Sageder, the CEO of Playtech BGT Sports said: “I am very excited about the opportunity. When combining the BGT team spirit together with the extensive know-how and knowledge of all the great talent that exists across Playtech, we have the opportunity to create a powerhouse for the benefit of our clients and their customers. By doing so we will continue to invest in our platforms, products, offering and services and will truly enhance customers’ betting experience and maximize the benefits for our licensees. Furthermore, we will continue to provide operators with the expertise and capabilities they expect from Playtech and BGT as well as the relevant tools in order to allow them to differentiate their customer propositions and achieve their strategic goals.”

Mor Weizer, the CEO of Playtech, commented on the collaboration saying, “I am delighted that Armin has accepted this role and I strongly believe he is the best person to take our sports offering to the next level together with the talent we have internally. Playtech BGT Sports will provide leading sports betting operators with best-in-class platforms and products as we well as a series of unique Omni-channel solutions that we believe will continue to revolutionize retail and online betting businesses alike.”

The Managing Director for UK, Ireland, Asia, and Australia at Playtech BGT Sports, John Pettit,  said, “BetTracker has been a fantastic addition to the retail sector since its launch, and we’re pleased that many of our existing partners are now offering it to their customers. The unique app provides players with much greater choice, improving the user experience and in turn, boosting incremental revenue in shops as it attracts new and existing customers alike. With the football season kicking off soon, we are hoping to carry on the momentum, and are confident this roll-out will contribute significantly to that.”
